Sophie Flay is a co-anchor of “World News Now” and “Good Morning
America First Look.”

Before joining ABC News, Flay was a general assignment reporter at
ABC7/KABC-TV in Los Angeles, where she covered some of Southern
California’s biggest stories. Her reporting included the Monterey
Park mass shooting, the raid of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Los Angeles
estate, the Oscars® and the 2025 LA wildfires, where she was among
the first reporters on the scene of the Eaton fire.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Flay has also
served as an adjunct professor at her alma mater before joining ABC
News.
